There’s More to Religion Than Just the Basics

Before becoming familiar with the study of religion and how it actually takes on an anthropological approach, I used to see religion as a way to distinguish certain beliefs and draw conclusions about its teachings. Instead of relating religious studies to that of theology, I now realize that it goes far beyond deities and God’s but rather encapsulates people and their relationship with their beliefs. Whether we are religious or not, our beliefs are what guide and determine our thoughts and behaviors. Considering an anthropological approach not only allows for a broader understanding of Religious Studies, but puts more focus on the study of people and the psychological aspects. My preparation worked well as I was able to manage the workload and complete each section without trouble however, I seem to put too much thought into what I write instead of just writing freely which I will consider next time.
